Liner Installation
Installation of Firestone EPDM liners is a precision job and getting the liner panels to line up properly is vital and can be quite a task as each roll weighs as much as 600kg.
Once lined up and unrolled the liner must then be left to settle for a minimum of 20min the liner is then joined using a double sided tape and a vulcanising system to join the panels, the seam most be clean, dry and free from dust and debris. The seam is the primed using a product called Quick Prime Plus, the primer is then left to tack off which doesn’t take more than a few minutes the tape is then applied and the seam is rolled.
Protruding pipes or penetrations for pump systems are easily lined around and then sealed using a Firestone product called FormFlash, this is an uncured form of the EPDM that is soft and pliable and is easily moulded and formed around protruding objects.
Firestone EPDM liners are the only liners that can be adhered to wood and concrete objects which is a considerable advantage when being used in such applications as Sand Bottomed Pools, Natural Swimming Ponds, & Ornamental Ponds.
